‘Paul McCartney’ ©J.Birch 2005/7.
Paul McCartney fell out of bed
Hit his head and wrote down ‘I Love Scrambled Egg’
Two days later he felt greater and turned it into
‘Yesterday, all my troubles were so far away’
Elton John was on cocaine
And to us it was plain
To look at him and watch him sing there was always something wrong
But there was something right. How can I explain?
YOU BELIEVE IN BUDHA
BUT ME WHEN MY DOG HAS GOT THE FLEA
IT HAS GOT TO BE PAUL McCARTNEY
When I have my time off
I don’t like to work
Come Sunday night I’m off
To a rock’n’roll concert
And if I have a problem
When something, is wrong
I know I can solve ‘em
I listen to a song
YOU BELIEVE IN BUDHA
BUT ME WHEN MY DOG HAS GOT THE FLEA
IT HAS GOT TO BE PAUL McCARTNEY
ROCK AND ROLL IT CURES MY SOUL
FOR THEM BLUES I DON’T NEED THEM NEWS
IT HAS GOT TO BE PAUL McCARTNEY
Oh Yeah!
